1.GCV-40/385/3+1 FMthree-phaseAC power surge protector can adopt the conventional direct parallel connection and V-shaped connection as shown in Figure7-1. To achieve better protection, when using direct parallel connection, the wiring should be as short as possible, and the total length should be controlled within0.5m.
2. The connecting wires should use10-25mm2multi-core copper wire.
3.GCV-40/385/3+1 FMthree-phase ACpower surge protector should have a suitable circuit breaker or fuse connected in series at the front end, with the circuit breaker adoptingCtrip characteristic.
4. Power must be disconnected during installation, live operation is strictly prohibited, and the connecting wires must meet the requirements.
5. When the surge protector is operating normally, its status indicatorwindowshould be green, the alarm dry contactNC-COMshould be in a conductive state, and the alarm drycontactpointNO-COMshould be in an open state; when the surge protector fails, the status indicator turns red, the alarm dry contactNC-COMbecomes open, and the alarm dry contactNO-COMbecomes conductive.
6. The surge protector does not require special maintenance, only regular checks to ensure the module is not loose and the status indicator is normal.
7. If any of the following phenomena occur, it can be determined that the surge protector has failed and needs to be replaced promptly:
1) The status indicator of the surge protector turns red;
2) The alarm dry contact of the surge protector becomes open.
